Microsoft has been on a frenzy as of late, giving away free OneDrive cloud storage for 2 years to anyone who signs up for Bing Rewrds. The catch with this promotion was that it was only available to consumers in the U.S. and they required users to sign up for the company’s promotional e-mails. Since then the company has opened up the promotion to non-U.S. residences but Bing Rewards as a program is not available outside that country.
This time around, the software giant is targeting Dropbox users as the new promotion is inviting them to switch over and as a bonus receive 100 GB of free OneDrive storage for 1 year. On the promo page, Microsoft calls this “a gift to current Dropbox users for installing OneDrive.” Of course, Microsoft will need to tap into Dropbox’s API to ensure you are their customer before giving away the free space.
